Advanced Level Simulated Bioskills Course session in Davos with RealSpine

Our newest patient case was introduced for the first time in an one-to-one hands-on session in Davos, Switzerland

Our newest patient case was introduced for the first time in an one-to-one hands-on session in Davos, Switzerla nd, organised by AOSpine. AOSpine is an international community of spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, researchers and other spine care professionals who is dedicated to improve patient care and outcomes. The new developed module contains a patient case with spinal canal stenosis. We developed this case together with Dr. Roger Härtl from the Weill Cornell Brain & Spine Center in New York. 18 surgeons carried out the microsurgical decompression during this innovative course with a 3:1 ratio between faculty and participants. The well balanced mentoring and the realistic simulation were highly appreciated: „The course was fantastic with very realistic simulation. The tissue is very close to reality. It was a pleasure to train under such realistic conditions.“ (Casey Davidson, orthopaedic surgeon, University of Mississippi, USA).

A special thanks goes to Dr. Roger Härtl (USA), Luca Papavero (Germany), as well as Dr. Andreas Korge (Germany), Dr. Avelino Parajon (Spain), Dr. Steven Theiss (USA) and Dr. Harry Gebhard (Switzerland) for making this course a success.
