How does it feel to be a spine surgeon? Many guests of the Open Day at the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine (SITEM) had the chance to try out their skills as a surgeon while operating our RealSpine herniated disc patient. During the operation, the “temporary surgeons” were assisted by an experienced surgeon.
The SITEM in Bern invited its visitors to an Open Day on August 30, 2019, to try out numerous medical innovations. SITEM-Insel unites medical research and industrial development with clinical application and stands up for the rapid conversion of research outcomes into clinical practice.
