DePuy Synthes (part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies) has expanded its product portfolio with a new development: the UNLEASH™MIS TLIF Procedural Solution. To demonstrate the advantages and functioning of their newest invention, the provider of medical and diagnostic products has invited surgical specialists from the fields of orthopedics and neurosurgery to an Innovation Experience Tour through four European cities.
During a one-day training event, the UNLEASH™MIS TLIF Procedural Solution was tested first hand and extensively on the RealSpine training system by many surgeons. The start of the “four cities tour” was made in Rome on the 06.06., followed by Madrid (14.06.), Leeds (25.06.) and Munich (05.07.). Each training event started with an exchange of experience with leading experts in spine surgery followed by a hands-on practical part on RealSpine. The surgeons operated the RealSpine spondylolisthesis patient and performed a microsurgical decompression with screw placement using the UNLEASH™ MIS TLIF Procedural Solution. The operative imaging (intraoperative navigation) was realised together with the Brainlab company.
